Sorry that it has been a couple of months since I lasted posted.  Things--life, work, the holidays, becoming an editor for a friend, etc.--got crazy.  But I do have two new music videos that I'd like to share.

Yes, I am insane. I have redone my Ianto Prozak video *again* (this makes, what, the fifth time?!). But I got my Season 2 DVDs a few days ago and I redid my clips so now they all look pretty and shiny and don't have those annoying BBC America logos and promos on them.  Plus I noticed that when I originally uploaded it on youtube, it didn't play very well. It seemed a bit jerky (in the stop and go sense) and such. So hopefully my insanity has a good result and Prozak now looks better and plays better. Fingers crossed and all that.

I've almost got my Captain Jack and The Doctor video done. Just need to figure out if I like how I've got it ending (beginnings, endings and musical interludes drive me crazy).  And I'd like to show it to someone before I post it but since I seem to be the only person around here without a life, I guess I'll have to wait for one of my friends to emerge from their busy lives.

Okay let's see if I can now get my Torchwood videos loaded and posted <fingers crossed>  And for some reason it is making you have to scroll down to get the second video.  Why LJ why?

My first attempt at a music video where I not only picked out the music and clips, but dealt with the video editing software myself is a Torchwood video, set to Anything Goes sung by John Barrowman, from the Torchwood Season 1 DVD extras.  Spoilers of course for all of seasons 1 and 2 of Torchwood and I couldn't resist slipping in one Doctor Who scene from Season 1 (you'll know it when you see it):

And finally the video I probably am most proud of, my Torchwood Ianto video set to the Dexter Freebish song "Prozak (Be Like Me)". Like before it has spoillers for all of seasons 1 and 2 of Torchwood and includes one Doctor Who clip because once again I couldn't resist and naturally since this is Ianto, it is a spoilers for 4x12.

I hope this works and that everyone enjoys them. I would love to hear any comments, criticisms, and suggestions since I am new to this and want to get better.  And because I'm obsessed and I've already got another Torchwood video in a rough cut and am starting work on a Captain Jack in Doctor Who video.  Hey at least it keeps me off the streets at night.

I finally am finished tinkering with my first three music videos. Well I made a Lord of the Rings Gollum video a few years ago where I chose the music and the clips but a friend did all the video editing hard stuff. But this time, I tackled the computer end myself and after many software and technology problems (most of them admittedly my fault) I finally have finished videos that I am happy with -- two Torchwood videos and a Lord of the Rings one. So now I just to figure out how to load them in a way that I can share them with my friends and actually participate in the fandoms which I've enjoyed so much.

 At a friend's suggestion and with her help (thanks myfieldnotes), I created this livejournal to help me better organize my fledgling attempts to follow and eventually join in my favorite fandoms.  However as I've allowed months to go by while slowly figuring out LJ (friends list, what a concept!), adding fic to memories and such, I suppose I finally should make a first message.  So here it is.  I hope to use this journal to occasionally record my thoughts but mainly to keep in touch with friends and join in the fannish worlds I've enjoyed lurking in so much.  

Eventually I hope to post a few fannish activities of my own.  I have been making music videos.  Yes really. Of course due to my own incompetence where computers are concerned I've managed to goof things up but I believe I have matters under control and hope to rebuild my two Torchwood attempts and a LOTR one soon.  And then if I'm feeling brave I'll post them and see what happens.
